Charming health and holiday resort
Yverdon-les-Bains, hot springs and quality of life
In Roman times Yverdon was already a spa. The thermal springs originate in a depth of about 500 meters and are recommended for treatments of rheumatism and illnesses of the respiration tracts.
The picturesque little town holds a well preserved medieval town complex with a majestic castle.
The buildings in the old town with their impressive façades mostly date back to the 18th century. The vast pedestrian zone, encompassing virtually the whole town center, invites you take a stroll, go shopping or have a rest in one of the many street cafés. The proximitiy to Lake Neuchâtel and the convenient situation with respect to traffic make Yverdon an ideal starting point for trips and excursions.
In Yverdon-les-Bains visitors enjoy the tranquillity of a small, quiet town. Many green spaces and parks offer rest and relaxation, and there are interesting archaeological sites to be visited in the surroundings. Outside the town, on the shores of the lake, a nature reserve with many animal and plant species can be discovered on marked nature trails.
